Synopsis

In the immediate aftermath of her sons being taken by Serbian forces in Srebrenica in 1995, Aida receives word that they are alive, held in a camp, and that she may be able to reach them for a price. Surrounded by thousands of displaced women in a refugee center, she begins a desperate search to find her children.

As hope collides with silence, the women come to the realisation that no one is coming to help them unless they help themselves. Led by the English-speaking Aida, they confront the injustice and deceptions of a political system built on backroom deals with war criminals. With humour, determination and grace, they create a lasting impact and a lasting friendship.
