Indie Sales has closed a raft of deals on Jean-Pierre Ameris’ “Marie’s Story: From Darkness to Light” the French auteur’s follow-up to “Romantics Anonymous,” a box office success that sold to more than 30 territories.

After unveiling a trailer at the Unifrance Rendez-Vous, Nicolas Eschbach’s Indie Sales pre-sold the pic to Spain (A Contracorriente Films), Switzerland (Filmcoopi), Colombia (Cineplex), Brazil (Imovision) and LAPTV for Latin American pay TV.

A Contracorriente is Spain’s biggest purveyor of French auteur fare. The distributor’s recent slate include Guillaume Gallienne’s “Me, Myself and Mum” and Cedric Klapisch’s “Chinese Puzzle.”

Produced by Escazal Films, “Marie” will be released in France by Diaphana, while Indie Sales reps international sales.

At Berlin, Indie Sales is showing a trailer of “Marie,” as well as Quentin Dupieux’ “Reality” and a teaser of the Scandi toon “Moomins on the Riviera” based on the Finnish bestseller.
